Worship involves recognition of worth in God, and the offering of our honor, praise, and adoration to the one who is altogether worthy. To worship genuinely is to know God. In worship we acknowledge God’s kingship in our lives.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Purpose of Worship
Worship is for God’s benefit. He has the center stage. During worship we yield ourselves to God’s rule and dominion. Worship is primarily a matter of God receiving something from us through our praise, adoration, and confession of dependence on Him as our Sovereign.
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
The Worship Team
Explore some of the many ways you can serve in the worship ministry. The worship team in Luther House Chapel consists of the Worship Leaders, Musicians, Singers, Sound System and Projection Personnel, Bible Readers, Acolytes, Communion Assistants, Altar Guilds, Flower Conveners, Greeters and Ushers. We believe that we are “Called” to God’s ministry, so it is not just any voluntary work.
Greeters and Ushers
Through greeters and ushers, both new and long-term visitors can find information, receive a friendly smile and connect with members of our congregation from the very first visit.
Bible Readers have a significant role to play during the service in bringing the Word of God to the congregation through public reading.
Be a part of the Lutheran tradition and serve at this Sunday morning ministry which includes preparing the sacraments and paraments of the season, flower arrangement on the altar and assisting during communion.
