The Reverend Thomas Low

Our pastor, the Reverend Thomas Low graduated from Trinity Theological College of Singapore in 1987 and he has been with us for more than 15 years.  He is an easy-going personality whose passion lies in the Word – expressed in good preaching, teaching, and community-life. In addition to his current duty as the pastor of Luther House, he is also the current secretary of the Lutheran Church in Malaysia.
Fluent in the English language and understands Cantonese, Hakka and Mandarin. Always ready to dialogue on almost any subject over a cup of good coffee. Scholastically, he majored in Church history, theology and spirituality.

Ps Thomas is also a certified Career Direct® counsellor. Career Direct® is an assessment tool that approaches career guidance from a biblical perspective while focussing on all 4 key dimensions of a person’s design — Personality, Interests, Skills, and Values.

Tom Gehring


Pastor Tom is an intern pastor serving Luther House Chapel over the course of one year. Ps Tom is originally from the state of Minnesota in the USA, and is in his third year of studying at Luther Seminary, one of the 8 seminaries run by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (a partner church to the LCM). After his internship year with LHC is complete, he will return to the USA for a final year of seminary coursework and eventually go on to be fully ordained as a pastor.
Ps Tom is an energetic individual passionate about ministry and the opportunity to learn from and with his Christian siblings across distances and cultures. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn and serve within the community of Luther House Chapel, and looks forward to continued learning and growth opportunities as an intern pastor.
